So as some of you may know, I have a 1 yr old daughter. And as a jalop father, it is my duty introduce some important things to her at a young age. Namely cars and giant robots. Now, we let her play with some Hot Wheels, and she loves them. And she was equally devastated when we took them away because she kept putting them in her mouth.
So my question is this, what are some good car toys for a toddler that I can keep an eye out for?
As a thank you for looking, here is my daughter's euro-style hatchback.
10/10 would hoon.

Chuck and friends are pretty sweet.
They are also nice and chewy.

there's a lot of bigger plasticy ones that my son has done great with (almost 16 months) for not 100% supervised times, because we've had the hot wheels in mouth issue as well.
I can't find a pic of one but I think we got them at babiesrus when we were there one day, they have a big ball in the middle that acts as the rolly part instead of the wheels, he loved them. he also liked the bigger dump trucks and a little helicopter that has 4 different colored balls with it that says what color the ball is when you put it through the top.
I can try and get some brands/ more info on them over the weekend for you if you want.

We got a Little People thing the other day. It wasn't until I got home I realized it was Cruella de Vil's car with a dalmatian driving it. I'll keep my eye out for more though, thanks!

They still make those?! Also, why does everything need eyes.....

That's actually pretty cool.

I'm too lazy to post pictures right now, so I won't.
I don't know if you've seen/heard of O-balls, they're these balls that are basically made out of a solid rubber net. That makes them very easy for babies to grab. Well, they also make a car, which is half of the ball on a body and wheels. As you can imagine, it basically looks like a Volkswagen.
Also, Ikea has these cool cars made of 3 detachable pieces, that you can mix and match with other cars. You just may have more fun with it than your child does (I know I do).

OH yeah they still make 'em. And everything must have a face. EVERYTHING.

Yeah, I would love a list.
My daughter loves my father's day gift . Pretty much every day I come home, it's either on the floor, or is slightly off from where I left it. For daddy's gift, she has had more fun with it than I have.

Oh, without a doubt I will. She will appreciated the classics. I can't wait til she gets older and talks so we can play the game of 'name that car'.

She has a few of those O-Balls. they are also real fun to step on. But I didn't know they had a car, I'll keep my eye out! Do you know what the ikea toys are called? They sound fun!

I guess they are suppose to be friendly looking? As they stare down into your soul with that blank look?

It's not the only thing that stares into your soul with a happy face.

See, I don't mind that. There are no eyeballs or tongues involved. Maybe I should just buy a Cozy Coupe and scratch off / remove the stickers. Then it'll be cool, right?

Your daughter will like the face. And that's all that matters.

I will definitely keep those in mind for future reference. I always see them at the 'all natural toy stores''......least favorite toy store ever....

We found the oball car at tar-jay (target). The Ikea cars are called Lillabo:

Oh those do look fun! Thanks!

Also in the Lillabo line are pure and simple wooden trains. There are two different track sets, each with a train, for $10, and an expansion track set for $7. This is, by far, the best bang-for-your-buck for basic train sets, compared to Thomas, BRIO, etc.

Thanks! That's right within budget too! And I'm really glad it's $8.38 for shipping, free shipping is for the poor.

Favorite line. Plus, I have a bedtime story now.

My daughter boosted hers...

They are a little sluggish stock. We added some aftermarket stuff too (which means I would give my daughters caffeine before they played in it).

My daughter ate cake before driving it once and ended up ripping the the steering column out. She has since upgrade to a Lambo.
